Guided Trips

Smallmouth Bass fishing

The state of Maine has a phenomenal Smallmouth Bass fishery, below are the trips that we offer for targeting them.

Traditional tackle and fly fishing methods

Full day and half day trips available

$500  per full day, lunch/beverages are provided(7-8hrs)

$400 per half day, beverages are provided, lunch is not(4hrs)

Moosehead Lake Region

The largest lake in Maine undoubtedly boasts some of the best trophy smallmouth bass fishing in the state. Smaller river systems nearby house some untouched Goliaths opportunistically waiting for a meal. These waters are built for the true die-hard smallie fisherman. 

Grand lake Region*

Go remote and fish lakes where we are likely to be the only anglers on the water for the day or drive a few hundred feet from the pine tree store right in GLS. These pristine lakes provide ample opportunities for smallmouth bass. Quality and quantity are found in these waters.

Lincoln Pond Region

With a plethora of ponds in the direct vicinity of Lincoln, fishing opportunities are nearly endless. Quality and quantity are found in these waters.


Trout and Salmon

Walk and wade fly fishing for native brook trout and landlocked salmon

Fly fishing methods

Walk and wade streamer fishing, nymph fishing, and even the occasional dry fly! Pond fishing also can be done out of a canoe.

$500 per full day, lunch and beverages provided

$400 per half day, Beverages are provided, lunch is not

Rangeley Region

Rich river systems and cold spring ponds provide excellent opportunities for streamer fishing, nymph fishing, and even the occasional dry fly!

River Season:

May-late June

September

Pond Season: 

Ice out-September 30

Grand Lake Stream*

Three miles of gin clear water reveal incredible opportunities for Maine’s infamous landlocked salmon. These fish are strong fighters and can be eager to take a fly!

Seasons:

May-Early July

Mid/late September-October 25th

Huck Finn's Guide Service has all the gear necessary for a day on the water. You are  encouraged to bring your own personal gear along for the trip.


Cash or Venmo are accepted forms of payment.


$100 deposit per day per trip that you are booking.

Cancellation 30 days prior to the date of your trip is refundable. This deposit can be credited toward a future trip if so desired.

Yes, You must purchase your own Maine fishing license for our day on the water together. Maine fishing licenses can be purchased at the link below.
