Maine’s premier fishing and hunting guide
Maine’s premier fishing and hunting guide
From a very young age, I was always enthralled by the outdoors. During the early years of my outdoor explorations, my father called me “Huck Finn" after the legendary character from Mark Twain’s novel Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. My family provided me with the ability to immerse myself in the outdoors each summer at our family cabin right on the water. Photos of myself from the early 2000s show me in diapers holding a lunker largemouth and a big container of baby snapping turtles
that had hatched in our front yard. They still hang on my parent's fridge to this day. Twenty-some-odd years later I jumped into the world of guiding headfirst. Before guiding I was a competitive bass angler. Reeling in two Maine State High School Championship wins, multiple club-level tournament wins, and a handful of other tournament victories. Toward the end of my competitive angling career, I picked up fly fishing. Traveling all over the Northeast and even out West chasing trout. I had put bass fishing on the back burner and made that my full-time venture. Getting into guiding has moved bass fishing from the back burner right back to the front burner as it should be and is my primary focus during the fishing season.
I pride myself on my ability to provide nothing but a top-notch experience for my clients. I strive to create lasting memories and friendships that are far bigger than the big catch from our day on the water together.
While the real Huck Finn may have fished with a cane pole and a raft made out of logs, I have decided to go with a more technologically advanced setup. Utilizing state-of-the-art marine electronic devices such as Garmin's Livescope Technology, Minn Kota's Ultrex Trolling Motor, and Lund’s beautifully crafted 1975 Renegade. A new to-us boat for the 2024 fishing season. The days on the water are spent comfortably along with fishing efficiently. Utilizing these marine electronics is an absolute game changer and makes finding the fish a breeze.
